So, like I say, if you are dealing with a company that has a lot of field people, you may just have fifty voice mailboxes without telephones, because when people call in, you just route them directly to their voice mail. The other thing, like I say, that the voice mail does, is for things like message services, so you can say what the directions are to your facility. You can say what the hours are. You can say tax ID number, etc.
And then the voice mailbox of your business telephone systems is also where you put all the voice instructions for something called the auto attendants. The auto attendant is what routes your calls, like I say, when you call in to a business, and it says “Thank you for calling Eli, the computer guy. For Sales, press 1.” That message is already residing in the voice mail system. So those are the important parts of the voice mail system.
